"So what happens after he climbs up and rescues her?" "She rescues him right back."
- Pretty Woman

I am so happy to be writing this post. I get to share my love for one of the greatest movies of all time. That movie of course being; Pretty Woman. Can you believe this film is 25 years old? It's older than me!

In honour of this love story, I would like to share with you 5 things I learnt from Pretty Woman. Now I'm not promising that all of these may be insightful and valuable lessons to yourselves, but they should entertain you at least!

1) There are certain things in life that you shouldn't settle on, and a partner is one of them. It's perfectly fine to want the happy ending and the perfect love story, so never settle for anything less. I know I won't until I find my own Richard Gere!

2) Don't judge a book by its cover. Although a woman may look like a prostitute, heck she might actually even be a prostitute. Do not rule out the fact that she could have a hella rich fella, who's willing to spend a lot of dollar so his lady looks nice.

3) When in doubt, think 90's. Oversized shirts and knee high boots are and always will be one of the best combos to exist. Looking back, the 90's had some of the best fashion trends to date. So much so, that these days we actually find ourselves paying stupid money for something that our mom's probably have buried deep in their wardrobe.

4) Even the most beautiful and confident women in the world have their insecurities. Our flaws are our character, they make us who we are. I know we all have those days where we can't get our hair to look right, or we can't cover up a big red spot. But, never forget that it is totally okay to love yourself.

5) To thine own self be true. Wherever you find yourself in life, it's so important to remember who you are, and where you came from. Don't forget about your friends who have been there for you, and don't change who you are to fit in. If they don't like it, they can lump it!

What lessons have you learnt from Pretty Woman, or any other movie?

It's Friday! Which means it's that time of the week where I share with you guys my 5 favourite things of the week. That could include anything from blog posts, to tips and tricks, or even just my favourite fashion finds.

So, today I've decided to share with you my fav 5: Beauty Products

Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette
Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara
MAC Desert Rose Blush
Benefit They're Real Push-up Liner
MAC Blankety Lipstick

It was really hard to narrow this down to just 5 beauty products that I love, so I decided to go with products I use in my everyday make up routine instead. Essentially, these are products that I just cannot live without, and are absolute must haves in my make up bag!

What are your some of your favourite make up and beauty products?

Top Picks #01

'What I'm Crushing On' is a feature I've decided to start doing on my blog where I'll be able to share with you guys what outfits, trends and styles I'm seriously loving lately.

And today I've decided to share with you a few little gems I've found when scouring some of my favourite stores on the interweb. If you like any of the items included here you can find them at Topsop, Asos, River Island, H&M, Missguided, and Pretty Little Thing.

Every shop you go into or website you look at, you will find plenty of denim getting ready for the upcoming Spring. You'll find dresses, shorts, shirts and jeans. I especially love these from Missguided, they remind me of Kylie Jenner, which of course means they're awesome. Now that the weather is warming up, you can style these with a stripey polo neck crop, a chunky belt and some brown boots like those included here from Missguided

I love this oversized paisley print shirt from Asos. I am constantly looking for outfits to wear with my knee high boots, and this is the perfect length for just that!

Florals are forever! Every year over Spring/Summer we get bombarded with floral print, and truthfully I don't always love it. I think it's a cute and girly style and I am not about that life! But this skirt from Missguided is beautiful! If you really want to get in the summery mood, you can rock this look with a simple white top and brown gladiators.

This brown wool hat from H&M is the perrrfect accessory for Spring and in my eyes is a definite must have! Pair this with a duster coat or waterfall coat like this one from Pretty Little Thing for a very simple, but super chic look.

What are you crushing on this Wednesday?

"Don't let anyone with bad eyebrows tell you shit about life."

Lately, girls and boys everywhere are obsessed with eyebrows, and it's not just their own. In fact, (and I know I'm not the only one who does this) whenever I meet someone new, they're the first thing I notice. Do not underestimate the importance of them people!

Astoundingly, if you look up #eyebrows on Instagram you can find over 2 million posts under the hashtag, with more being added every second. It's full of inspiring looks and tutorials, which can be perfect if you're a beginner looking for a little guidance on where to start.

I watched several videos from a range of people, some of which weren't even make up artists, before I developed my own routine. I learned tips and tricks from each of them and combined them to create my own method. So, thank you ladies!

After all this eyebrow talk, the only thing left for me to do is show you my own routine and list all the different products and techniques I use myself.

Products Used:
Primark Tweezers
No7 Eyebrow Pencil - Black
Brown Matte Eyeshadow & Models Own Angled Brush
Seventeen Brows Kit - Dark
Benefit Gimme Brow - Medium/Dark

So, I start off by tweezing any stray hairs, and brushing my brows through with a spoolie brush. Then I lightly use my No7 Eyebrow Pencil on the edges to outline my brow to give an even shape, being careful to avoid any harsh lines as the colour is so dark.

Then I use a small angled brush, and a matte eyeshadow to fill in the sparse areas. The brush used here is from Models Own, and the eyeshadow was a matte dark brown from The Body Shop, which is a perfect match for dark hair.

After I've brushed out any excess shadow with the spoolie, I use the wax from a brow kit to move all the hairs in to place, and use the powder to set all the products used, making them last all day. The kit I used was from Seventeen which is a great dupe for the Benefit Brow Zings if you're looking for a cheaper alternative. It's also a great product to own if you're a novice in the makeup department.

Although I didn't include it in this video, I often finish off my brows using the Benefit Gimme Brow. This is a great product as it sets them in place all day long and you can even get away with using that alone on your brows which gives a more subtle, natural look!

What products do you use and do you have any secret tips for the perfect brow?

"I think it's just important to not judge people based on their physicality because it's really about personality and people's hearts and souls. That's what drew me to Audrey Hepburn who is kind of like my icon."  - Lily Collins

Whenever I feel like I need to revamp my style, one of my go-to girls for fashion inspiration is my girl crush; Lily Collins. I'm obsessed with how she's constantly changing up her style and is always rocking a new hair-do every time I see her in the media.

The inspiring thing about Lily is that she has the confidence to wear anything and still look like a superstar. That could be a grunge look with a dark lip, or just a simple jeans and jumper ensemble.

When I see a celebrity wear an outfit I love, I often find myself browsing online and in stores to find similar items, and I know you guys do it too! So I figured, why don't I save you guys some trouble and do the hard part for you...

I am obsessing over so many of the items on this wishlist. A camel coat is of course, a timeless classic, and will be a perfect investment for this upcoming Spring.

Although I don't wear many crop tops myself, I do love this one from Asos, and teamed with a leather pencil skirt it will make a great monochrome look for date night!

A pair of ripped jeans is an essential for me, I believe everyone should own a pair and these from Topshop are so comfy too [insert heart eyes emoji here]

If you aren't loving the thigh high boot trend at the moment, then I'm sorry but we can't be friends. Public Desire have a HUGE range, at really affordable prices so it's definitely worth a look!

What's your favourite Lily Collins look and whose style are you crushing on lately?
