"If lying was a crime, we'd all be in jail" - Emily Fields

Who else is just loving this season of Pretty Little Liars? It's so good but so annoying at the same time! This is supposed to be the Summer of Answers, Marlene!

Some of you may have seen a post I did last week about the fashion musings of Pretty Little Liar, Aria Montgomery. Well this week I'll be displaying some of my favourite looks from Emily Fields. The sweetest liar of them all.

Emily is one of those girls who is a true natural beauty. She doesn't have to try too hard, and still looks stunning even though she dresses casually in shirts and jeans. But just when you think she can't look any more beautiful she goes and gets all dolled up and just looks out of this world.

Emily's style is an easy one to steal, her dress sense, very much like her personality, is sporty and quite easy going. You can definitely catch her rocking check shirts, jeans, denim shorts, baseball jackets and trainers.

What's your favourite Emily look? How shady are Lesli Stone and Mona being? I wonder what they're hiding!
"Friends don't let friends sneak into insane asylums alone" - Aria Montgomery

Okay so with the new season of Pretty Little Liars starting I could think of no better time to share with you my love for the style in this series.

I thought I would kick start this off with my favourite liar, Aria Montgomery. Her style consists of layering up her outfits with bright and vibrant colours and accessorising them with chunky belts and big earrings.

I understand that it's a TV show and not real life, but the fashion choices are often so brave, it's absurd. It's something I wish I could do, you know, if I liked any colour other than black...

I can connect to Aria the most out of all the liars. Firstly, she's short, just like me! Her outfits always have a bit of punk added to them, she's sarcastic, she loves to write and she's just the most relatable character of them all. Of course it helps that I have been a die hard Ezria shipper from day one till forever.

So here's a couple of my favourite outfits from Lucy Hale as Aria Montgomery right from season 1 - 6.

I was feeling a little inspired by Aria's look, and I wanted to share with you some items and top tips to steal her style. I would recommend lots of layers, focus mainly on carefully mixing prints, and combine dresses and skirts with boots for that dressy casual look.

Boots - Public Desire, Kimono - Asos, Knit Crop Top - Pretty Little Thing, Hat - H&M, Pink Crop - Missguided, Print Trousers - Topshop, Co-ord - Asos, Earrings - River Island, Dress - Asos

What's your favourite Aria look? Who do you think A is?

"Whoever said money can't buy happiness simply didn't know where to go shopping."

After a couple of stressful days working overtime, prepping blog posts, updating my socials and attending interviews, I decided it was definitely time to treat myself with a little online shopping spree.

So I ventured over to Pretty Little Thing, and had a browse through the site. Now, I'd seen their beaaautiful waterfall coat a few times on Instagram and different fashion bloggers posts, and I've felt like I needed to invest in it for a long time, even though we are coming up to Summer.

I was delighted to find that there was actually 20% off everything that day, so of course I went a little wild and did a bit of a haul.

The first thing that caught my eye was this beaut two piece. I have been obsessed with culottes ever since they came into fashion but I have honestly never had the courage to buy a pair and pull them off. That was of course until I saw these beauties. The colour is one of my favourites and they're super comfy too.

The crop top is simple, yet different and I think this outfit can be worn casually or you could doll it up with a pair of lace ups like I have here. At £25 for the two pieces, it really was a steal.

Crop Top - Pretty Little Thing, Culottes - Pretty Little Thing, Shoes - Topshop

My next purchase was these black trousers and shoes. These trousers were on sale for just £5, and although I did initially think they were faux leather, I still love them all the same. They're so comfy, and high waisted which is always a great option when you want to wear a crop top but don't have the confidence to bare all your midriff.

I have been after a pair of pointed slip ons for as long as I can remember, these were only £15 and they're just what I was after. The tips on the shoes give them a bit of a bad ass, grungey vibe, which you might know is what I strive for in most of my outfits.

The two of these combined gave me an awesome sport luxe style, which I am loving right about now.

Trousers - Pretty Little Thing, Crop Top - New Look, Shoes - Pretty Little Thing

I have loved this coat ever since I first saw it on the site, and then I saw it on featured on www.fashion-train.co.uk and I think I fell completely and utterly in love with it. The only thing that worried me when purchasing it was that it only comes in one size, as I'm quite short. However, the fit is perfect. The oversized look is exactly what I was hoping to achieve, and it is officially my favourite coat of the moment, for just £25 it's probably the most reasonable investment I've made in a long time.

Coat - Pretty Little Thing, Crop Top - Miss Selfridge, Trousers - Asos, Shoes - Office

My final purchase was this bodysuit for £10. The main reason I wanted to buy this was for work. Whenever I wear midi skirts or tuck shirts and tops into tight clothing I always end up with bumps and bulges. It ruins the smart, sophisticated look I'm attempting. So, I came to reason that a body suit is the best way around it, and this one is soso comfy. The material is soft, its not too tight, and as you can see.. no bumps! Definitely worth it.

Bodysuit - Pretty Little Thing, Midi Skirt - Asos, Shoes - New Look

This was my first time shopping with Pretty Little Thing, and it definitely won't be my last. The delivery was prompt, the quality of the garments is impeccable and it's a totally affordable way to keep up with the latest trends.

Let me know some of your favourite online stores and what you've bought recently!

- Effy Stonem

A few years ago I went through a phase where I was completely and utterly obsessed with Skins, and the character Effy Stonem. Not only was her character so beautifully intriguing to me, but her style was awesome too!

I love to add a bit of grunge to all of my outfits, and I think I can honestly say that it originated from her, and to this day she is probably one of my most influential style icons. I find nowadays that so many people I see out and about, or on Instagram love to do the same thing, like ripped jeans for example!

With that in mind, I thought I could share with you some ways you can inspire your own style to be a little bit like Effy Stonem with a few pieces from some of my favourite online and high street stores.

I love all these items, some are perfect for nights out and the others are great for just a casual day out with friends. The look is so easy to steal that I'm sure many of you will already have plenty of grunge bits buried deep in your wardrobe too!

If you are ever interested in experimenting with this look, my absolute favourite brand is Noisy May. They have some seriously cool gear that you can't find in your regular high streets stores. Definitely worth a look!

Who was your favourite character from Skins, and did you like their style? Also, what's your go-to grunge piece? Let me know in the comments!

"The less you respond to negative people the more peaceful your life will become."

I know we can all have our bad days, heck I'll be the first to admit that I've had moments where I've envisioned punching someone in the face and found it extremely satisfying. We're human, it happens! However, there are certain people in this world who just never ever seem to have a smile on their face, regardless of the situation.

It's a damn shame that the world isn't full of lovely, amazing, kind people, and for the folk that are, it can be quite difficult having to deal with them putting a dampener on your spirits, and unfortunately, I'm sure there will come a time in each of our lives where we will have to encounter this breed.

So in preparation for when that time comes, here's a few tips on how to deal with negative people.

1)
Don't be influenced. Quite often, the mood of the people around you can be infectious and you can find yourself feeling and acting the way they do. If they laugh, you laugh, if they're in a grump, you're in a grump! But if you woke up feeling good about the day, try to hold on to that because not only will you feel better, but the people around you will prefer it too.

2) Don't rise to it. I know it can be hella irritating when someone is constantly grinding your gears, but a rise from you is exactly what they want. If they're down, they want you to be down too and that's not right!

3) Don't take it personal. If anybody is being offensive or negative towards you with no real merit, then you are not the problem here, and although it can be difficult to keep reminding yourself of that, you have to do it to prevent it from upsetting you.

4) Remove them from your life. It can be incredibly draining being surrounded by constant negativity and
it's certainly not a crime to not want that in your life anymore. You don't have to be cruel, but you can always start seeing less of them, and you might find it could have a positive impact on your life.

5) Know your worth. Ignore them! Remember that your happiness needs to come first. You are you, and you are great. Do not allow any other human being on this planet make you feel anything less than amazing!

If you think that maybe you could be a little negative towards your friends, try looking at it from a their perspective and imagining how uncomfortable they might feel. Remember that the world can be truly and remarkably wonderful to those who appreciate it :)

Let's reduce some of our own negativity and comment what you're most grateful for!

"I like my money right where I can see it... Hanging in my closet." - Carrie Bradshaw

A few nights ago, a load of us from work went out for the evening for dinner and drinks. It was an evening well spent with great laughs, good food and lots of Prosecco. But I have to say, I was most excited about the fact I was able to debut my new favourite Spring outfit!

In this outfit, I definitely felt like Carrie Bradshaw, and that I was ready to run around the city of Manhattan falling in love, meeting with my girlfriends and writing about sex! But, unfortunately my life is not as glamorous as it is on the TV, and I have to go to work everyday instead. Boo!

Pastels are always a great way to go for a Spring/Summer look, and midi skirts, although have been around for a while, are not going out of style anytime soon. They are a perfect statement piece for an evening such as dinner or drinks.

You can find this skirt from H&M, this crop top from Miss Selfridge, and these beautiful shoes are from Topshop.

Let me know some of your favourite Spring outfits!
"To me, beauty and makeup and color is like the finishing touch on everything." - Marc Jacobs

Kylie Jenner has sent the world into a frenzy with her big lips. First we were all like "gurl, don't play we can see your real lip line" and now, it's virtually impossible for anyone to get their hands on MAC's Velvet Teddy lipstick, and Soar lip liner as everyone wants to steal the look!

So, over time I have learnt a few tips & tricks with make up that could enhance your lips, and fool everyone into believing they're natural!

All you'll need is a brown lip liner, and any nude colour lipstick. I'm using MAC Blankety, which is my absolute favourite right now.

Firstly I use my favourite lip balm from EOS to prevent my lips from drying out!

Then, I outline the whole of my lips. However, I am drawing the line slightly outside of my actual lip line, but not so much so that you are able to see a noticeable difference. It's really important you don't overdraw the line, as it could end up looking really false and tacky. A good thing to remember is not to have the pencil too sharp as a blunt one can give a more natural blend.

After that, still using my lip liner I draw over the creases in my lip to accentuate them before applying any colour. It is important to use a shade that is significantly darker than the lipstick you are using so that you can still see the lines under the lipstick.

Finally, using my chosen lipstick I apply that all over my lips. If necessary, you could use a lip brush to blend everything together to avoid any harsh, noticeable lines.

And that's it guys, my not so secret guide to bigger lips! For a more natural look you can keep it as it is, but if it's for a special event, glide some lipgloss over the top for super, sexy lips!

What are some of your super secret make-up tips?

"These boots are made for walking, and that's just what they'll do"

Thigh high boots are everywhere these days, and even though everybody seems to own a pair, they can be quite difficult to style, especially if you're a short arse like me! I'm constantly looking at different blogs, or Instagram pics to figure out new looks and combinations. So today I thought, why not share with you a few very different looks with the same pair of boots!

1) The first outfit I want to share with you is the dressiest of the three, which is combining your thigh highs with a mini dress. This outfit was initially inspired by Ariana Grande, and it's the perfect trick to keeping warm on a cold night out. You can find this dress on Missguided, the belt from Urban Outfitters, and the boots are from Ebay.

2) My second outfit of choice is a more casual approach. I chose an oversized knitted jumper with a black leather skater skirt, I think this looks so cute and girly and is such a comfortable outfit for one of those Spring days. You can find this jumper from H&M, in a variety of different colours, and the skirt is from Vero Moda.

3) My final outfit is an oversized tee and boots. This combo is honestly one of my favourite outfits ever, it's not only super comfortable but as it's oversized and baggy you can cover up any bumps and  bulges, and still look sexy as hell! You can find this oversized tee at New Look, and the leather is a vintage Topshop piece I found raiding my aunts wardrobe!

I hope this helped! Let me know what you wear with your thigh highs!
"So what happens after he climbs up and rescues her?" "She rescues him right back."
- Pretty Woman

I am so happy to be writing this post. I get to share my love for one of the greatest movies of all time. That movie of course being; Pretty Woman. Can you believe this film is 25 years old? It's older than me!

In honour of this love story, I would like to share with you 5 things I learnt from Pretty Woman. Now I'm not promising that all of these may be insightful and valuable lessons to yourselves, but they should entertain you at least!

1) There are certain things in life that you shouldn't settle on, and a partner is one of them. It's perfectly fine to want the happy ending and the perfect love story, so never settle for anything less. I know I won't until I find my own Richard Gere!

2) Don't judge a book by its cover. Although a woman may look like a prostitute, heck she might actually even be a prostitute. Do not rule out the fact that she could have a hella rich fella, who's willing to spend a lot of dollar so his lady looks nice.

3) When in doubt, think 90's. Oversized shirts and knee high boots are and always will be one of the best combos to exist. Looking back, the 90's had some of the best fashion trends to date. So much so, that these days we actually find ourselves paying stupid money for something that our mom's probably have buried deep in their wardrobe.

4) Even the most beautiful and confident women in the world have their insecurities. Our flaws are our character, they make us who we are. I know we all have those days where we can't get our hair to look right, or we can't cover up a big red spot. But, never forget that it is totally okay to love yourself.

5) To thine own self be true. Wherever you find yourself in life, it's so important to remember who you are, and where you came from. Don't forget about your friends who have been there for you, and don't change who you are to fit in. If they don't like it, they can lump it!

What lessons have you learnt from Pretty Woman, or any other movie?

It's Friday! Which means it's that time of the week where I share with you guys my 5 favourite things of the week. That could include anything from blog posts, to tips and tricks, or even just my favourite fashion finds.

So, today I've decided to share with you my fav 5: Beauty Products

Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette
Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara
MAC Desert Rose Blush
Benefit They're Real Push-up Liner
MAC Blankety Lipstick

It was really hard to narrow this down to just 5 beauty products that I love, so I decided to go with products I use in my everyday make up routine instead. Essentially, these are products that I just cannot live without, and are absolute must haves in my make up bag!

What are your some of your favourite make up and beauty products?

Top Picks #01

'What I'm Crushing On' is a feature I've decided to start doing on my blog where I'll be able to share with you guys what outfits, trends and styles I'm seriously loving lately.

And today I've decided to share with you a few little gems I've found when scouring some of my favourite stores on the interweb. If you like any of the items included here you can find them at Topsop, Asos, River Island, H&M, Missguided, and Pretty Little Thing.

Every shop you go into or website you look at, you will find plenty of denim getting ready for the upcoming Spring. You'll find dresses, shorts, shirts and jeans. I especially love these from Missguided, they remind me of Kylie Jenner, which of course means they're awesome. Now that the weather is warming up, you can style these with a stripey polo neck crop, a chunky belt and some brown boots like those included here from Missguided

I love this oversized paisley print shirt from Asos. I am constantly looking for outfits to wear with my knee high boots, and this is the perfect length for just that!

Florals are forever! Every year over Spring/Summer we get bombarded with floral print, and truthfully I don't always love it. I think it's a cute and girly style and I am not about that life! But this skirt from Missguided is beautiful! If you really want to get in the summery mood, you can rock this look with a simple white top and brown gladiators.

This brown wool hat from H&M is the perrrfect accessory for Spring and in my eyes is a definite must have! Pair this with a duster coat or waterfall coat like this one from Pretty Little Thing for a very simple, but super chic look.

What are you crushing on this Wednesday?

"Don't let anyone with bad eyebrows tell you shit about life."

Lately, girls and boys everywhere are obsessed with eyebrows, and it's not just their own. In fact, (and I know I'm not the only one who does this) whenever I meet someone new, they're the first thing I notice. Do not underestimate the importance of them people!

Astoundingly, if you look up #eyebrows on Instagram you can find over 2 million posts under the hashtag, with more being added every second. It's full of inspiring looks and tutorials, which can be perfect if you're a beginner looking for a little guidance on where to start.

I watched several videos from a range of people, some of which weren't even make up artists, before I developed my own routine. I learned tips and tricks from each of them and combined them to create my own method. So, thank you ladies!

After all this eyebrow talk, the only thing left for me to do is show you my own routine and list all the different products and techniques I use myself.

Products Used:
Primark Tweezers
No7 Eyebrow Pencil - Black
Brown Matte Eyeshadow & Models Own Angled Brush
Seventeen Brows Kit - Dark
Benefit Gimme Brow - Medium/Dark

So, I start off by tweezing any stray hairs, and brushing my brows through with a spoolie brush. Then I lightly use my No7 Eyebrow Pencil on the edges to outline my brow to give an even shape, being careful to avoid any harsh lines as the colour is so dark.

Then I use a small angled brush, and a matte eyeshadow to fill in the sparse areas. The brush used here is from Models Own, and the eyeshadow was a matte dark brown from The Body Shop, which is a perfect match for dark hair.

After I've brushed out any excess shadow with the spoolie, I use the wax from a brow kit to move all the hairs in to place, and use the powder to set all the products used, making them last all day. The kit I used was from Seventeen which is a great dupe for the Benefit Brow Zings if you're looking for a cheaper alternative. It's also a great product to own if you're a novice in the makeup department.

Although I didn't include it in this video, I often finish off my brows using the Benefit Gimme Brow. This is a great product as it sets them in place all day long and you can even get away with using that alone on your brows which gives a more subtle, natural look!

What products do you use and do you have any secret tips for the perfect brow?

"I think it's just important to not judge people based on their physicality because it's really about personality and people's hearts and souls. That's what drew me to Audrey Hepburn who is kind of like my icon."  - Lily Collins

Whenever I feel like I need to revamp my style, one of my go-to girls for fashion inspiration is my girl crush; Lily Collins. I'm obsessed with how she's constantly changing up her style and is always rocking a new hair-do every time I see her in the media.

The inspiring thing about Lily is that she has the confidence to wear anything and still look like a superstar. That could be a grunge look with a dark lip, or just a simple jeans and jumper ensemble.

When I see a celebrity wear an outfit I love, I often find myself browsing online and in stores to find similar items, and I know you guys do it too! So I figured, why don't I save you guys some trouble and do the hard part for you...

I am obsessing over so many of the items on this wishlist. A camel coat is of course, a timeless classic, and will be a perfect investment for this upcoming Spring.

Although I don't wear many crop tops myself, I do love this one from Asos, and teamed with a leather pencil skirt it will make a great monochrome look for date night!

A pair of ripped jeans is an essential for me, I believe everyone should own a pair and these from Topshop are so comfy too [insert heart eyes emoji here]

If you aren't loving the thigh high boot trend at the moment, then I'm sorry but we can't be friends. Public Desire have a HUGE range, at really affordable prices so it's definitely worth a look!

What's your favourite Lily Collins look and whose style are you crushing on lately?

"Stay weird. Stay different. And then when it's your turn and you are standing on the stage, please pass the same message to the next person who comes along." Graham Moore

Hello people of the blogging world!

It's award season, and I love this time of the year because we get to see some of the most gorgeous frocks, on some of the most beautiful woman in the world. Of course, The Oscars are the best of the bunch, it's when the celebs pull out all the stops.

So, with this in mind, I thought what could be a better way to start my blog than with a few of my favourite outfits from the 87th Academy Awards.

However, it wasn't as easy as I first envisioned. It was exceedingly difficult to narrow my choices down as there were soo many beautiful outfits to choose from, but after much deliberation, I think I've managed to compose a pretty impressive list.

My 5 best looks from The Oscars 2015 are as follows:
  • Emma Stone in Elie Saab
  • Zendaya Coleman in Vivenne Westwood
  • Jennifer Lopez in Elie Saab
  • Dakota Johnson in Saint Laurent
  • Zoe Saldana in custom Atelier Versace

Although these didn't make it in to my top 5, I thought there were a few more ladies that deserved a mention.

I have to say that Lupita Nyong'o absolutely killed it in Calvin Klein. Jennifer Anniston looked impeccable, as always, wearing Atelier Versace. Although I loved Sienna Miller in Oscar de la Renta, I did not love that pout she was rocking. Anna Kendrick's simple Thakoon dress was faultless, I am starting to really love everything about her! I was totally in love with Jenna Dewan-Tatum's hair and makeup, and her Zuhair Murad Couture dress looked stunning, the woman looked flawless, but doesn't she always? I was so happy to see Hannah Bagshawe there for hubby Eddie Redmayne, and I was completely in love with her Alexander Mcqueen dress, and finally Rita Ora showed us a different side to herself looking as elegant as ever in Marchesa Couture.

If you agree or disagree with any of my choices make sure to leave a comment, and let me know who you thought was the best dressed!
