How To: Hair Regrowth

Image
I'm not going to sit here and say I've found the perfect remedy, because I most certainly have not. I've tried many things and spent a lot of money along the way, and actually I can't pin point what it is exactly that helped me. But I thought I would run through what I did do, to perhaps stop you from making the same mistakes and put you on some products that do genuinely work. Well they did for me anyway. Bear in mind, I'm not being paid to say this, so my opinion is completely true. So I'll start off with a few tips that I think have helped. Obviously being in quarantine at home has meant I can do these things a lot more than if I was going out to work or on nights out. I should mention that I suffer with hair thinning and loss around my crown and hairline, I think it's from the pressure of doing high and tight ponytails. Also my diet isn't great and I rarely exercise anymore. Anyway here are the habits I started to get into: 1. Stopped using heat. You...

How To: Lampshading

Image
I'm sure I'm not the only one obsessed with Ariana Grande right? Any song she releases, any outfit she's spotted in I instantly fall in love. She just makes everything look so effortless.  One of my favourite styles she quite often wears is called lampshading and it's when you pair an oversized tee, sweatshirt, hoody, dress or shirt with knee high boots.  It's a look suitable for any occasion, I've worn it when I've gone out for drinks and when I've popped out for errands. It's so versatile. Also, at first, I was really conscious that if I were to bend over then I would be exposed in some way, but the easiest hack is to just wear some cycling shorts underneath. You'll never see them and never have to worry about giving anyone a fright.  So since it is one of my favourite looks, I wanted to share with you all how I lampshade.  My first and favourite outfit is this rust oversized sweatshirt from Missguided and these beige knit over the knee boots f...

How To: Style A Halter Neck Bodysuit

Image
We're all obsessed with these halter neck bodysuits now aren't we? Once you have one, it really does become a wardrobe essential and you're not quite sure how you managed without it for so long.  There are countless ways to wear them, but I wanted to show you a few of the ways I dress it up or down with jeans. Also I know it says style, but this is basically inspo on how to layer one I know we're all living in joggers lately, but I needed to inspire myself to actually take the sweats off at some point. Before I get used to wearing them permanently.  But I probably wear it most with joggers. There's something about a fitted up top with oversized joggers look *chefs kiss* The amazing thing about this bodysuit is it's double lined slinky material. So it's really comfortable, and if you didn't want to wear a bra you don't have to! It fits really nice too, I chose black because it would be more slimming and flattering, but there are so many col...

Helpful Guide For A First Time Buyer

Image
I am going to try and make this post as detailed as possible, because I know  how truly stressful buying a house can be  I also know that people find these posts particularly helpful, especially if it's not an easy transaction.  1. The first thing I would absolutely recommend is ensure you have a decent deposit before you begin looking for properties. This means putting away a set amount of money from your paycheck each month until you reach your target. There's no point house hunting when you have £1000 in the bank, because if you find your dream home, by the time you save the rest of the money it will be sold to someone else.  There are many schemes out there now that are available to make the process easier for a First Time Buyer, so definitely do your research. For example, the Help To Buy ISA's. It is free money from the government, why would you not do it? 2. Get your mortgage sorted. Yes you can do it online and compare what all the banks are doing, b...

Image
Moving house can be hard. Not only is there the stress of having to actually go out and view different properties until you find the one you can see yourself in, but once you have decided you then need to move all your things from one house to another, start buying new furniture and mentally prepare yourself for the ordeal that comes with moving day, Luckily for you, I have worked in the property business for many years now and over that time I have learnt a few things that can help you transform your house to a home in no time without costing a fortune. Colour Schemes – I'm not saying decorating every room with the same wallpaper and furniture etc. But ensuring that there are some similarities throughout the rooms help the house tie together and flow. Adding colour also helps. Now I am the first to admit I am a sucker for white, black and grey everything and if that's your aesthetic that's fine. But for living rooms and bedrooms, you want them to f...

How To: Add A Little Zen To Your Life

Image
Lately I've been a little bit of a stress head worrying over the smallest and simplest things. But that was until I figured that the only way out of it, was to change the way my mind operates. I've always appreciated Buddhism, it's a peaceful, beautiful outlook on life and after I looked a little further into it I found that i t's honestly very refreshing. Now I'm not saying that I'm going to go full Buddhist monk, and never speak again but what I did decide to do was channel some of their beliefs into my everyday routine, and it made me appreciate life just that little bit more.  I thought I would share with you my top tips on:  How To Add A Little Zen To Your Life .   1) Don't Multitask.  If you have a bunch of things to do, create a list so you don't forget, and go through each of them one by one until you're done. How To: Deal With Negative People

Image
"The less you respond to negative people the more peaceful your life will become." Photo Credit I know we can all have our bad days, heck I'll be the first to admit that I've had moments where I've envisioned punching someone in the face and found it extremely satisfying. We're human, it happens! However, there are certain people in this world who just never ever seem to have a smile on their face, regardless of the situation.   It's a damn shame that the world isn't full of lovely, amazing, kind people, and for the folk that are, it can be quite difficult having to deal with them putting a dampener on your spirits, and unfortunately, I'm sure there will come a time in each of our lives where we will have to encounter this breed.  So in preparation for when that time comes, here's a few tips on how to deal with negative people. 1)   Don't be influenced.  Quite often, the mood of the people around you can be infectious and yo...
