Emily in Paris: Fashion Review

If you have followed this blog from the very start (which tbh is very unlikely, I don't think anyone follows this blog at all lol.) But if you did happen to, then you may remember one of my very first posts was about my admiration for Lily Collins and how to steal her style.

Given that knowledge, it's safe to say I am a huge Lil Collin's fan, I'm obsessed with both her acting and her style. She's always been one of favourites to follow for fashion inspo and I'm not ashamed to admit I have copied a few of her outfits from time to time.

So when I clicked onto Netflix the other day and noticed she had a show coming on, as you might guess, I was overjoyed.

I binged the series instantly, 10 eps? Light mans work.

As a SATC, Gossip Girl, 90210 etc lover, this gave me all the feels. It's everything I wanted in a show, I'm just sad I finished it that quickly tbh.

I'm not here to review the show, as it's so brand new I know many of you won't have seen it yet, so I wouldn't want to give any spoilers away. But if you're looking for a quirky comedy that features envious fashion, beautiful men and women, the right amount of sexiness, empowering women and all the Parisian vibes then it's definitely for you.

From the very first episode I instantly wanted to pack up all my belongings and move my ass to Paris. I'm not joking, I looked up jobs straight after.

Anyway, what I really wanted to share with you was the AMAZING fashion in this show from every cast member. Like seriously, every male and female, looked impeccable (I'll be focusing on the females.)

From what I've gauged online, a lot of people were critiquing the wardrobe choices in the show, but imo they couldn't be further from the truth. It's not basic or ringarde, it's eclectic. A style not many have the vision to appreciate.

When I picture an evening in Paris at a fancy soiree, this image is exactly what comes to mind. The dress, the minimal styling of the hair and make up, the bright red lip and of course the champagne. It set the whole scene moving forward, and one of my favourite looks to feature. A classic.

Out of all the outfits, I think this yellow co ord has to be my fav. It's so chic and girly, and of course with Lily's amazing figure it looks so good. Pairing with the yellow bag adds dimension to look. Although the print and colours clash, the shoes and belt are simple, so it works in my eyes.

This blue shirt and snake skin combo - you'll find me recreating this look for sure.

She overdid the beret a little, BUT I guess when in Paris? So I'm not mad about it and the red with the monochrome look is the perfect balance.

Ofc my girl gets her own mention, I love you Cami!! Was anyone else rooting for Emily and Cami the whole time? If I were to choose, this girls outfits stole the show for me. I think that fact she just oozes style and grace absolutely helps. But her looks featured a combination of structured blazers, leather skirts and chunky boots. Hello dream aesthetic? I'm absolutely obsessed with her since watching.

THESE BOOTS that Mindy is wearing in the first picture!! OMG, I love love love. Her shoe game was pretty epic in this series.

Y'all. Did you know Sylvie is 57 years old and looks like THAT? I'm 25 and could never do this emerald dress as much justice as she has. She rocked many a high split, and looked amazing doing it. New goals lol.

Snake print featured a lot in the show and it's completely reignited my love for it. So much so, I'm just putting an order in now for some snake print leather trousers and a cropped blazer that Cami wore in one ep. Oops.

As this show is so new, I wasn't able to find all the outfits I wanted to but there is enough here to show the range and themes throughout.

Let me know what you guys thought of the show, I know a lot of people weren't keen, so I'd love to know why!
