Everyday Make Up Routine 2017 | Beauty

Image
Face Stila Colour Correcting Serum - A 3-in-1 serum used to colour correct your skin. I use this as a primer to prep my face as well as reduce redness and brighten. LA Girl Pro Concealer  - A high coverage concealer that I use in a few shades lighter than my skin tone to cover and brighten my dark circles and to enhance my cupids bow, brow bone and forehead. Bonus - It's mega cheap! NYX Concealer Wand in Green - A colour correcting concealer that I use to neutralise the redness around my nose and any spots. Bare Minerals Bareskin Foundation - A very lightweight foundation which makes it perfect to wear all day long. My only issue is that it isn't very build-able, and therefore does very little to cover pigmentation and blemishes etc. (On offer!!) Maybeline Matte Maker Powder - A favourite of mine that I use to set my foundation. It's super affordable, extremely lightweight and mattifies any shininess. Seventeen Contour K...

Friday's Fav 5: Products Worth The Hype

Image
With the likes of Instagram and Youtube etc. we are surrounded by our favourite bloggers raving about new beauty products that we have to try. But let's be real, there is no possible way we could afford every single one, so the one's we do buy we want them to be money well spent. I know I've been a sucker who has wasted money on expensive products, when I could've got something better from a drugstore for a much more desirable price. However, with that being said, there have been products, both high end and drugstore, where I have spent the money and they have exceeded my expectations. 1. Kylie Jenner Lip Kit I will always recommended these lipsticks until I am blue in the face. They are the best in terms of pigmentation, colour range, application and staying power. Although they are very very pricey, due to importing them from US, they are still a fantastic product and my make up bag is never without one. 2. Kat Von D Liquid Liner I s...

Night Time Routine

Image
My new years resolution was to be more organised and in order to do that, it is important to have a regular routine in place. The first thing I decided to implement was an efficient night time routine. Obviously, this doesn't always go to plan when I have places to be and people to see but generally this is something that I do like to stick to. Once I get in from my day at work, the first thing I will do is cook my dinner for the evening. I like to ensure my meals are quite healthy, and I'm not constantly putting lots of bad stuff into my body. I don't lead a completely healthy lifestyle, and my eating habits are not strict. But I do believe every little helps! If you would like to see more on the food I eat and recipes I follow then do let me know in the comments. When I have finished my dinner, I will then head upstairs and get ready for my shower. I use the Garnier Micellar Oil Infused Water Cleanser. A perfect product for dry and sensitive skin! Th...

Satin Shirts & Pleated Culottes | OOTD

Image
This is currently one of go to outfits. It's casual enough to wear during the day for lunch or coffee with the girls, but I actually wore this out for my birthday meal out on a Friday night and still got loads of compliments. I'm all about the versatility. These two items are some of my personal favourites. I am obsessing over satin shirts, I currently own 3 that I have bought over the last few months and they just look so sleek on. Also, I kinda feel like a dolphin wearing them as they are so soft on your skin. Satin is in everywhere, so this shirt is a perfect piece to have in your wardrobe at the moment.  Everyone and their grandmother owns some variation of these pleated culottes, and rightly so! They are sooo comfy, and can easily be dressed up or down. To wear these more casually combine with an oversized jumper, or white slogan tee and trainers. Being the short arse that I am I actually had to DIY these myself as the length was way too long.  ...

What's in My Bag?

Image
This is one of favourite posts to read from my bloggers as I love to be super nosy and see what they consider essentials. So I couldn't wait to write this myself as it means I get to share with you my necessities and see how many of you are like me, or whether I'm totally strange and am over packing.  The Bag My bag is Marc Jacobs. I received it from my parents for Christmas last year and is still in perfect condition. Usually I change my bag every year, but I can't convince myself to get rid of this one just yet.  The Essentials Purse, Keys, Phone, Girl Things My current purse is this Michael Kors black one. It's very simple, and with the gold detailing matches my bag quite well. It's super spacious on the inside, which is perfect for me as I'm always shoving receipts in there and my acrylic nails can't be dealing with those tight spaces.  The Space Takers Sunglasses, Notebook and Pen, Lense Kit, Calculator, Umbrella I...

How To: Add A Little Zen To Your Life

Image
Lately I've been a little bit of a stress head worrying over the smallest and simplest things. But that was until I figured that the only way out of it, was to change the way my mind operates. I've always appreciated Buddhism, it's a peaceful, beautiful outlook on life and after I looked a little further into it I found that i t's honestly very refreshing. Now I'm not saying that I'm going to go full Buddhist monk, and never speak again but what I did decide to do was channel some of their beliefs into my everyday routine, and it made me appreciate life just that little bit more.  I thought I would share with you my top tips on:  How To Add A Little Zen To Your Life .   1) Don't Multitask.  If you have a bunch of things to do, create a list so you don't forget, and go through each of them one by one until you're done. Don't stress about doing them as quickly as possible! 2) Spend A Little More Time On Certain Things.  As you now ha...

Big Ass Birthday Haul | FT. All Saints & French Connection #DionneTurns22

Image
A while ago I posted about a haul I did on my birthday weekend, however, as it was that big I have had to split it into two! There are worse problems in the world I guess.. There are two times a year when it is totally acceptable to do gigantic hauls for your wardrobe, and that is during the January sales and the Summer sales. Without going into it too much detail, as I have in my previous post that you can see here,(LINK) I'm just going to jump right in. All Saints AKA Heaven on Earth. This place is an absolute dream, and wait till I tell you the sale they had on. So, not only were many of the products already on sale, but there was also 50% everything in store! Oh man, so dreamy. I ended up picking this beautiful beautiful pink trench coat. It's so lightweight, and the perfect length for a short girl like me. It makes a perfect companion to my all black outfits that I so often wear. All for the price of £51.00. I know you hate me all don't you...
