How To: Deal With Negative People

Image
"The less you respond to negative people the more peaceful your life will become." Photo Credit I know we can all have our bad days, heck I'll be the first to admit that I've had moments where I've envisioned punching someone in the face and found it extremely satisfying. We're human, it happens! However, there are certain people in this world who just never ever seem to have a smile on their face, regardless of the situation.   It's a damn shame that the world isn't full of lovely, amazing, kind people, and for the folk that are, it can be quite difficult having to deal with them putting a dampener on your spirits, and unfortunately, I'm sure there will come a time in each of our lives where we will have to encounter this breed.  So in preparation for when that time comes, here's a few tips on how to deal with negative people. 1)   Don't be influenced.  Quite often, the mood of the people around you can be infectious and yo...

OOTD: Channeling Carrie Bradshaw

Image
"I like my money right where I can see it... Hanging in my closet."  - Carrie Bradshaw   A few nights ago, a load of us from work went out for the evening for dinner and drinks. It was an evening well spent with great laughs, good food and lots of Prosecco. But I have to say, I was most excited about the fact I was able to debut my new favourite Spring outfit!  In this outfit, I definitely felt like Carrie Bradshaw, and that I was ready to run around the city of Manhattan falling in love, meeting with my girlfriends and writing about sex! But, unfortunately my life is not as glamorous as it is on the TV, and I have to go to work everyday instead. Boo!  Pastels are always a great way to go for a Spring/Summer look, and midi skirts, although have been around for a while, are not going out of style anytime soon. They are a perfect statement piece for an evening such as dinner or drinks.  You can find this skirt from H&M, this crop top from Miss ...

Getting Lippy - The Bigger, The Better

Image
"To me, beauty and makeup and color is like the finishing touch on everything." - Marc Jacobs Kylie Jenner has sent the world into a frenzy with her big lips. First we were all like "gurl, don't play we can see your real lip line" and now, it's virtually impossible for anyone to get their hands on MAC's Velvet Teddy lipstick, and Soar lip liner as everyone wants to steal the look!  So, over time I have learnt a few tips & tricks with make up that could enhance your lips, and fool everyone into believing they're natural!  All you'll need is a brown lip liner, and any nude colour lipstick. I'm using MAC Blankety, which is my absolute favourite right now.  Firstly I use my favourite lip balm from EOS to prevent my lips from drying out!  Then, I outline the whole of my lips. However, I am drawing the line slightly outside of my actual lip line, but not so much so that you are able to see a noticeable difference. It...

How To: Thigh High It

Image
"These boots are made for walking, and that's just what they'll do" Thigh high boots are everywhere these days, and even though everybody seems to own a pair, they can be quite difficult to style,  especially if you're a short arse like me! I'm constantly looking at different blogs, or Instagram pics to figure out new looks and combinations. So today I thought, why not share with you a few very different looks with the same pair of boots!  1) The first outfit I want to share with you is the dressiest of the three, which is combining your thigh highs with a mini dress. This outfit was initially inspired by Ariana Grande, and it's the perfect trick to keeping warm on a cold night out. You can find this dress on Missguided, the belt from Urban Outfitters, and the boots are from Ebay.  2) My second outfit of choice is a more casual approach. I chose an oversized knitted jumper with a black leather skater skirt, I think this looks so cute and ...
