What I've Been Reading in Quarantine

Image
When I think about the time I have spent in quarantine it doesn't immediately feel like I have been productive, but I suppose that's because I have had lazy days amongst the busy ones. I have also been in the house for about two months, which equates to a lot of days to fill. One thing I have been slowly plodding along with is my Audible account. When I was at work, it was almost impossible to find the time to listen to it. I tried on my lunch break, but coworkers would always come to bother me. I tried when I was driving to and fro, but always found myself getting distracted by the road, of course! So didn't find it super safe to use then, and once I was home I just cba'd and like to be mindless in front of the tele.  So I am definitely trying to make the most of this by the time I am back in work.  Don't worry, I won't be revealing any spoilers, I know how people get about that lol. I will just give my opinions. The first book I managed to finish,...

Femme Luxe Finery Haul

Image
I am back with another haul from the babes at Femme Luxe Finery . I am really excited about this one. Of course I ended up with more loungewear , but I thought I'd get my dress for when lockdown ends and I can hit the town again.. Is that an old person phrase? It has boomer humour vibes, but I'm not sure.  So, if you read my previous post where I collaborated with them, I actually mentioned how much I loved their jogger shorts and hoody sets. I was literally, over the moon when I saw they were still available so I had to order them in two colours. I decided to go for the Taupe and the Khaki because they were a little different than everything else I have in my wardrobe. Plus I just super love those kind of nude tones.  They are just perfect for the hotter weather. Most loungewear is either big sweatshirts and joggers or tight camis and shorts, but these shorts are baggy so are the perfect in between. Especially since I have piled on a few quarantine pounds.  ...

If You Haven't Already, Can You Make It In The Blogging World?

Image
I LOVE the blogger/influencer culture that exists today. I am so much more likely to buy from a regular girl whose blog I have grown up reading than I am from watching an ad on tele. More than likely, it's because they are just extremely relatable which makes it so much easier to trust their views and opinions over a celebrity endorsed product.  For instance Lydia Millen posts a story about a shampoo that is working wonders on her hair and I detour to Boots to get it (true story), however Kim Kardashian tries to sell me lollipops to suppress my appetite and I couldn't think of a more bogus product that exists. I just trust bloggers WAAAY more.  Blogging has created opportunities that today's influencers I'm sure never would've dreamed of when they started their blogs all those years ago. But with that all being said, yes there are lots of bloggers who have hit the big time, but most of them ar...

Isolation Fashion With Femme Luxe Finery

Image
This post is in collaboration with Femme Luxe Finery   So isolation ay? If you read my previous post you will know how much I am enjoying this time in quarantine. I am trying to make the most of it by doing things I could never find the time for previously. It's only because I have found that if I don't keep myself busy, I will spend all day of every day curled up in a blanket in front of the TV, eating endless bags of crisps. So after weighing up the options, this seems the healthier alternative!  Although I am so excited to use this time bettering myself. The thing I am loving the most is the fact I get to wear lounge wear every single day. This is like my dream life, getting to live in oversized joggers, hoodies and lounge wear sets. Can't help it, the cosy life chose me.   As I mentioned in one of my previous posts I have just redecorated my room , so I have been online shopping a lot. Not just for new room decor, but there was a definite need to upda...

How To: Style A Halter Neck Bodysuit

Image
We're all obsessed with these halter neck bodysuits now aren't we? Once you have one, it really does become a wardrobe essential and you're not quite sure how you managed without it for so long.  There are countless ways to wear them, but I wanted to show you a few of the ways I dress it up or down with jeans. Also I know it says style, but this is basically inspo on how to layer one I know we're all living in joggers lately, but I needed to inspire myself to actually take the sweats off at some point. Before I get used to wearing them permanently.  But I probably wear it most with joggers. There's something about a fitted up top with oversized joggers look *chefs kiss* The amazing thing about this bodysuit is it's double lined slinky material. So it's really comfortable, and if you didn't want to wear a bra you don't have to! It fits really nice too, I chose black because it would be more slimming and flattering, but there are so many col...
