These Are A Few of My Favourite Things...
I am always buying and testing new products, some of them are a hit and become a staple in my regime, but a lot of them are a miss and I end up using them until they run out or giving them away.
Over the last few months, I have tried to research what I buy to make sure it is quality and I have found that most of what I have bought has actually gone down very well. However, some of which were bought on a whim or because of an Instagram hype. We all get suckered in at some point.
Carli Bybel Deluxe Edition Palette - Limited Edition
First of is the Carli Bybel Deluxe Edition. I wanted her original palette she released a few years ago, but never managed to buy it at the time so when I was on Beauty Bay topping up my skincare products, I noticed this was on offer. I read no reviews, or looked up swatches or anything, I just bought it. I had a 50/50 chance of it turning out great and low and behold, I now use this palette almost every day. The shades are subtle but very blendable and it comes which a great range of highlighters too. I shouldn't need to buy a highlighter palette again. I probably will, but I shouldn't need to.
Only downside is that this was limited edition, so you won't be able to pick it from our usual make up sites like Beauty Bay.
Omorovicza Cleansing Foam - £49.00
I treat this like gold. I bought the Lydia Millen Cult Beauty box a few months ago and in it was this cleansing foam. Believe me when I tell you this shit works. It is on the pricier side, but it is one of the best ones I've used. I tend to keep it for times when I have a serious break out that my regular cleansers can't manage. If you're anything like me and get extremely conscious of your spots and blemishes then definitely invest, it has been fast acting on my skin.
This is a product I happened to stumble on whilst roaming around Superdrug on my lunch break. I was actually looking for a rosewater spray, but came across this and for the price, I thought I would give it a go.
I use this as a toner after I have cleansed my face, morning and night. I tend to suffer from dehydrated skin and find this really does help prevent that. I have also noticed that my acne scars are becoming much less visible. It's lightweight, hydrating, non-greasy and non fragrant. I also took this on holiday with me and felt that spraying my face throughout the day left a really refreshing feel.
L'oreal Botanicals Camelina Shampoo & Conditioner - £5.33 (On Offer)
The Camelina range is for smoothing unruly frizzy hair, something that I can get quite often once I air dry my hair after a shower. This shampoo is supposedly free from silicones, parabens and colourants, which is something I never knew to be wary of with my regular shampoos and even after I knew that I was still a bit dubious. However, after using this I noticed an instant difference in the texture and they way my hair falls. Quite often it is on offer in Boots too, which is a bonus.
Fenty Beauty Foundation - £26
I know, I know. How late am I to the party? But in my defence, I very rarely visit Harvey Nicholls and I don't really buy foundations online as it is so hard to judge your colour match without scouring google for swatch comparisons.
Anyway I digress. This foundation is not my absolute favourite, but for the very reasonable price and the insane amount of shades it is a go to for me. My shade matches perfectly with my skin, the coverage is great and it doesn't feel too heavy on my skin. It's a really good option for an everyday foundation.
Urban Decay Troublemaker Mascara - £19.50
UD mascara's are my absolute favourite. I genuinely don't think there has been one better than Perversion and combining that with Benefit's Roller Lash is an unbeatable team. I use Roller Lash for length and Perversion for volume and have never found a mascara that is able to do both, unless it's one of those stupid double sided ones that I usually hate, because you get way less product.
That was all until now, well January. My aunt bought me the Troublemaker mascara for my birthday, and the only word I can think of to describe it is powerful. It's vividly black, it creates great length, and give my lashes serious volume. Two points I would say to watch out for, however are that it can transfer onto your eyelids very easily, and if you use it over another mascara it can get very clumpy and give spider leg vibes.
BeccaxChrissy Glow Palette - (Out of Stock)
I am not ashamed to admit that this was an Insta hype purchase. I love Chrissy Teigen and have done for such a long time, so when she announced this launch, I was on it like a car bonnet.
The palette is great, and I have since made a few members of my family buy it too! The highlighters are beautiful, the bronzer is pigmented and gives a very natural glow, and the blush is the most perfect pink. It is great for an all in one, as it does it all.
Do you use any of these products? What are some of your recent buys?
